To be fair, the scene starts with Mortimer being a coward and just shooting right there and then, he should have approached it as a duel or whatever. Unless you're trying to tell me that that "law" can sometimes be unethical, which thank you very much that never happens

Love how Indio also gives away his tell on when he's going to pull, how he starts to tilt his head more and more just before he does. So Colonel already saw that earlier, and knows full well now.
